Mountain Home Fire Department

The Mountain Home Fire Department is a combination Career/Volunteer department. The Fire Department provides Fire/Rescue services to the citizens of Mountain Home and to the Mountain Home Rural Fire District. Mountain Home Fire/Rescue is 1 of 11 departments in Arkansas to have a class 3 ISO rating. Those living outside the city in the Mountain Home Fire District will receive a class 3 rating if they live within 5 miles of a fire station and within 1,000 ft of a fire hydrant. The department is highly trained in the latest fire fighting techniques, medical care, haz-mat and specialized rescue techniques. The Fire Department is dispatched through the 911 communications center which also dispatches all other Fire Departments.


Mountain Home Police Department

Baxter Regional Medical Center

In 1985, Baxter Regional’s Ambulance Service became the first fully paramedic service in the North Central Arkansas region. The ambulance service consists of Emergency Medical Dispatchers, EMT’s and Paramedics with ambulances that cover Baxter, Marion and Izard counties. Baxter County Sheriff's Office

E911

The Emergency Enhanced 911 Operations Center started in 1998. When 911 is dialed, the enhanced system automatically retrieves your name, address and phone number on the screen. Dispatch can then relay specific information to the emergency personnel. Enhanced 911 is available in all of Baxter County, except for the far southern part of the County.
